Top 10 CardioVascular Device Companies - 2020

Cardiovascular diseases are undoubtedly one of the leading causes of death globally. As the prevalence and cost associated with cardiovascular conditions are rising, an increasing number of healthcare organizations are investing in the latest cardiovascular devices that the medical device market has to offer. By incorporating technologies like AI and machine learning in cardiovascular imaging and in-vitro diagnostics, the healthcare providers are significantly enhancing their capabilities at the point of care.

The innovation is not only limited to imaging. The electrophysiology-based cardiovascular diagnostic devices, including ECG, which were mostly found in heart stations and cardiology centers, are now being used in emergency departments and electrophysiology labs. The newer ECG diagnostic devices offer greater mobility, better displays, and advanced software functionalities. In some cases, big data analytics is being leveraged to analyze multiple ECG and heart rate variability parameters to predict various health problems before they can escalate.

Similarly, implantable ECG monitoring devices are also making an appearance in cardiovascular care. The implantable loop recorders are being implanted in patients’ left parasternal region for diagnosis and long-term monitoring of patient risk, including atrial fibrillation, asymptomatic arrhythmias, or myocardial infarction. The miniaturization of cardiovascular devices is enabling healthcare providers to implant components through minimally invasive procedures. Also, the devices are being integrated with cloud-based technology to facilitate storage.

To assist healthcare organizations in the task of finding accomplished cardiovascular device companies, we have compiled this issue of MedTech Outlook. In this edition, we have listed the top 10 cardiovascular device companies to highlight those making significant contributions to the medical device sector. This edition also blends through thought leadership articles from subject-matter experts, and CXOs. We hope this issue of MedTech Outlook helps you build the partnership you and your organization need to foster a workspace driven by robust and efficient technology.
